Candy Angle
Candy began racing Triathlon in 1996. She turned Professional in 1999 and
quickly found her place in Xterra Triathlon after finishing 3rd Pro
in her first ever Xterra. Candy raced Xterra from 2000 until 2008.
Always
a top 3 finisher on the Xterra circuit, with trips to Europe for the Xterra
European series, two wins at Xterra Brasil. Placing 3rd at Xterra
Nationals in 2002 and then topping the year off with a win at the World
Championships later that year was a highlight and set Candy up to always be a
contender at every Xterra event. Candy also competed in road triathlon during
that time with several podium finishes in race’s like Chicago Triathlon, Pacific
Grove Triathlon, and St Anthony’s Triathlon. Candy began coaching master’s
swimming in 2001 and continues to do so. Candy has been coaching Athletes of all
abilities in the sport of Triathlon both locally in the Boston area and via the
internet with Athletes all over the world. Currently Candy has taken a break
from racing because of the arrival of her first daughter, Alexandra.
